About me
The best translations are the result of finely-tuned language skills blended with in-depth cultural knowledge.
I’ve spent long periods living and breathing the cultures of my source languages, so l get the cultural nuances that are wrapped up in your texts, and can translate them in a way that chimes with your English-speaking audience.
Having spent 18 months in Germany and 14 years in Spain as a language teacher and translator, I returned to the UK in 2017 and delved straight into full-time translation.
Since then I’ve joined several translators associations, kept up with regular CPD and used my skills for projects of all shapes and sizes. I've also started my own blog, which you can read here: https://behindthescreensofafreelancetranslator7.wordpress.com/
Translating novels, doing crosswords in different languages and playing the violin are just some of the ways I keep my mind sharp as a tack.

Ivy was my grandmother’s name, but it’s also a resilient, evergreen climbing plant that forms a strong network. For me, there’s nothing more important than constant growth and building a strong community, and I’m here to help your business reach new heights.
